10.15.8.60 Payments Exempt under the Agreement with the USA

Exempt payments

Article 10, paragraph 3 of the Agreement provides for benefits payable under the USA Supplementary Security Income program and other USA benefits of a similar character to be exempt from the income test applied to Australian benefits. These payments are usually income tested and not payable outside the USA.
