For Australia, benefit means Age. It includes any additional amount or increase in respect of, a person who qualifies for that additional amount. Maximum pension supplement and RA are also included for people in Australia, but are subject to portability restrictions under the SSAct.
For Poland, benefit means an age, disability or survivors' pension, work accidents and occupational diseases compensation and pension, and funeral benefit under the Polish pension system. It includes any additional amount, increase or supplement that is payable in addition to that pension.
- Legislation

In relation to Australia, legislation means the laws which make up the social security legislation relating to Age. In Part II of the Agreement it applies to the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992, the Superannuation Guarantee Charge Act 1992, and the Superannuation (Administration) Regulations.
In relation to Poland it means the laws and schemes concerning the covered Polish pension systems.

In relation to Australian totalisation and rate calculation rules (Articles 11 and 12), this means a period of AWLR as defined in the SS(IntAgree)Act (i.e. the period of residence in Australia between the ages of 16 and reaching age pension age).

In relation to Poland this means a period of contributions, or any equivalent period, or non-contributory period under the Polish legislation on compulsory coverage.
