10.28.11 Appeals - Agreement with the Czech Republic

Appeals

Article 16 of the Agreement provides that appeals documents, governed by each side's social security laws, may be lodged in either country.

Appeals, whether in relation to Australian or Czech benefits may be lodged:

  • in Australia, at any Centrelink office, or
  • in the Czech Republic, the Czech Social Security Administration.

Article 16, paragraph 2 provides that the date on which an appeal is lodged in one country is taken to be the date on which that appeal is lodged with the competent institution of the other party.
