10.4.10.10 Information Which Can Be Exchanged - Agreement with Italy

Information which can be exchanged

Article 20 of the Agreement with Italy says that Australia and Italy can exchange information needed for the effective operation of each country's social security system. This means that the flow of information is quite broad and covers information relevant to a person's eligibility for all benefits, not just those covered by the Agreement. However, both Australia and Italy can choose not to release pensioner information on benefits that are not covered by the Agreement.
