3.7.1.90 Supplementary benefits & assistance for SpB recipients

Other departmental benefits

SpB recipients MAY also qualify for the following benefits, if they meet the relevant qualification criteria:

  • family tax benefit
  • rent assistance
  • pharmaceutical allowance
  • telephone allowance
  • remote area allowance
  • HCC or PCC
  • crisis payment
  • energy supplement
  • EdEP (if a non-residentially qualified sole parent), and
  • pension supplement if over age pension age.

Other departmental benefits are not regarded as income under the SpB direct deduction income test.
