1.1.R.05 Reassessment

Definition

For the purposes of the National Redress Scheme, the Scheme Operator may undertake a reassessment of an application for redress in limited circumstances where the:

  • application is approved
  • original redress determination was accepted, and
  • application included a non-government institution that was not participating or listed under funder of last resort arrangements at the time of the original determination for redress being made.

Before a reassessment determination can be made, the person or their nominee must provide their written agreement for the reassessment to be undertaken.
