1.1.R.50 Responsible

Definition

For the purposes of the National Redress Scheme, the term 'responsible' refers to when an institution is responsible for the abuser having contact with the person.

The Operator of the Scheme must determine that an institution is either 'primarily responsible', 'equally responsible' or 'not responsible' for the abuser having contact with the person.
