1.1.W.05 Withdraw

Definition

For the purposes of the National Redress Scheme, ‘withdraw’ refers to when a person removes their application for redress or the application for a review of determination from the Scheme.

If a person withdraws their application for redress, it is considered never made to the Scheme and the person can apply for redress again. When a person withdraws their application for a review of determination, it is considered as never made and the determination still stands.
