4.3.2.37 Deductions relating to debt owed to the Commonwealth

Introduction

Centrelink may deduct an amount from an instalment (1.1.I.80) of PLP if a determination has been made under the PPLAct section 190A that the amount of a debt is to be deducted from an instalment, and if the deduction is made in accordance with that determination.

If a person owes a debt under the PPLAct, Centrelink may make a determination under the PPLAct section 190A that the amount of the debt is to be deducted from one or more instalments that are payable to the person.
