10.2.7.10 Arrears of New Zealand Benefits

Arrears

When a person in receipt of an Australian benefit is granted a New Zealand benefit their rate of Australian benefit will be affected. Article 19 of the Agreement provides that any overpayment of benefit resulting from the grant of New Zealand benefit can be recovered under the social security laws of Australia.
