10.2.8.20 Working Age Residence - Agreement with New Zealand

Working age residence

Working age residence (WAR) is defined in Article 5 of the Agreement. It refers to periods of residence in Australia or New Zealand from the age of 20 until the qualifying age for age pension in Australia or the qualifying age for NZS, whichever is relevant (up to a maximum of 45 years).

For DSP, WAR is defined as between 20 and the age of severe disablement.
