10.20.7.20 Embargoes on Arrears of Norwegian Benefits

Embargoes

Article 26 of the Agreement contains bilateral embargo provisions. This means that any overpayment of Australian benefit following the grant of Norwegian benefit can be withheld from any arrears of Norwegian benefit before it is paid to the applicant, and vice versa. Centrelink International Services is responsible for liaising with Norway and making the necessary arrangement.
