10.24.9.20 Confidentiality - Agreement with Japan
Confidentiality
Article 23 of the Agreement provides that information exchanged by Australia and Japan can only be used for the purposes of implementing the Agreement.
All information received by Australia is subject to the same privacy principles as applies to information obtained under domestic legislation. Information received by Japan is similarly subject to Japanese privacy legislation.
