Requirement to claim a pension from Finland

The Agreement with Finland does not contain special provisions to make it compulsory for people claiming Australian pensions under the Agreement to also claim a pension from Finland. However, all claimants under the Agreement are required to take reasonable action to claim any entitlement from overseas, including Finland, as are people who claim autonomously. This requirement is covered by CFP legislation explained in 7.3.1.
