10.26.5.20 Totalising to Qualify for a Polish Benefit - Agreement with Poland

Totalising for a Polish benefit

Article 13 of the Agreement covers totalisation in order to qualify for a Polish benefit.

Entitlement to a Polish benefit is subject to a person completing certain periods of insurance under the legislation of Poland.

People who do not have the required periods of insurance under the legislation of Poland can add periods of AWLR to the Polish periods of insurance to meet the requirement (as long as these periods do not coincide).

For non-Polish residents, these totalisation provisions are not available for Polish disability or survivors' pension.
