10.32.10.20 Confidentiality - Agreement with India
Confidentiality
Article 19 of the Agreement provides that information exchanged by Australia and India is confidential and can only be used for the purposes of implementing the Agreement or applicable social security laws.
All information received by Australia is subject to the same privacy principles as applies to information obtained under domestic law. Information received by India is similarly subject to Indian privacy legislation.
