10.4.4.10 Who Can Lodge Claims under the Agreement with Italy

Who can claim

The Agreement with Italy contains all the claim lodgement provisions discussed in 10.1.4 Claiming Payments Using an Agreement.

Article 5 of the Agreement with Italy covers claim lodgement and allows:

residents of Australia and Italy to lodge claims for Australian benefits if they are in Australia or Italy, and
residents of a third country with which Australia has an agreement covering claim lodgement to lodge claims for Australian benefits under the agreement if they are in Australia, Italy or those third countries.
