7.4 Agency collect

Introduction

This chapter describes when the Registrar will accept an application to collect child support (1.1.C.60), how the Registrar registers enforceable maintenance liabilities and the effect of registration.

This chapter also explains how payers (1.1.P.40) can pay their ongoing liability. Part 8 provides information on child support compliance and enforcement (such as tax refund intercepts (8.3.1) or applying LPPs (8.2)).

The information in this chapter applies to WA ex-nuptial children. See 1.3.2.30 for details of the date from which various provisions had effect.
