10.25.7.20 Embargoes on Arrears of Finnish Benefits

Embargoes

Article 18 of the Agreement with Finland contains embargo provisions. This means any overpayment of Australian Age following the grant of a Finnish benefit could be recovered from the arrears of a Finnish benefit before it is paid to the recipient, and vice versa. Centrelink International Services is responsible for liaising with Finland and making the necessary arrangements.
