10.5.12.20 Termination of the Agreement with Canada

Termination of the agreement

Article 21 covers what happens should the Agreement terminate. The Agreement remains in force for 12 months following the date on which either Australia or Canada advises the other that they intend to terminate the Agreement.

Should the Agreement terminate, those people who were being paid, or had lodged a claim and are entitled at that time, will continue to receive that benefit.
