11.1.5.30 Meeting priority needs through expense payment

Expense payments

A person may be assisted to make a direct payment to a third party where they have an amount owing to the third party. It is also possible for a person to arrange for weekly or fortnightly deductions to be made.

Example: Dylan is buying a car from his aunt through a private arrangement. A direct payment can be made to his aunt from his income managed funds. He can also arrange for instalments of the price of the car to be paid to his aunt regularly, for example, every week or fortnight, by way of a direct payment from his income management account.
