12.3.5.10 Persons subject to the enhanced income management regime - volunteers

Persons subject under voluntary enhanced income management

Individuals who reside in enhanced income management areas (12.3.5.30) can enter into an agreement with the Secretary that they will voluntarily participate in the enhanced income management regime if:

  • they are in receipt of a category A welfare payment (12.2.2)
  • their usual place of residence is within a voluntary enhanced income management area, and
  • they have a payment nominee, the nominee is subject to the enhanced income management regime or the income management regime.

Individuals who were previously voluntary participants in the CDC program transitioned to the enhanced income management regime from 6 March 2023, but can request to end their voluntary enhanced income management agreement at any time.
