8.1 Child support debts & overpayments

Introduction

This chapter explains how the Registrar manages child support debts (1.1.C.90), including establishing payment arrangements, apportioning debt repayments between payees (1.1.P.30) and offsetting and reducing debts. This chapter also explains when overpayments (1.1.O.20) can be recovered from payees and when overpaid amounts can be refunded to payers (1.1.P.40).
