1.1.P.30 Payee

Definition

A payee is the person who is entitled to receive payments under a registrable maintenance liability.

In certain circumstances, including in relation to an agency reimbursement liability, a payee can be an overseas authority.

A payee of a carer liability is the person entitled to receive funds recovered by the Registrar in relation to that liability.
