1.1.P.10 Parent

Definition

The term 'parent' has its common meaning of the biological mother and father of a child. It also includes:

  • an adoptive parent
  • if the child was born as the result of an artificial conception procedure (2.1.3) (1.1.A.110), a parent of the child under FL Act section 60H
  • if the child was born because of a surrogacy arrangement (2.1.3), a parent of the child under FL Act section 60HB.
