1.1.C.166 COVID-19 Australian Government payment

Definition

A COVID-19 Australian Government payment includes:

  • the COVID-19 disaster payment (covered by item 492 of the table in Part 4 of Schedule 1AB to the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997)), and
  • a payment or grant of financial assistance by the Commonwealth that is prescribed by the PPL Rules. No payments or grants of financial assistance are currently prescribed.

Pandemic leave disaster payment and other state or territory COVID-19 payments and grants are not COVID-19 Australian Government payments.

A COVID-19 Australian Government payment period is a period for which a person is entitled to a COVID-19 Australian Government payment.
