1.1.C.70 Civil penalty order

Definition

If the Federal Court or the Federal Circuit Court of Australia is satisfied that a person has contravened a civil penalty provision in the PPLAct, the court may, on the application of Centrelink (1.1.C.20) or the FWO, order the person to pay the Commonwealth such pecuniary penalty for the contravention as the court determines to be appropriate. The order is called the civil penalty order.
