1.1.W.70 Workforce Australia - Self-Employment Assistance

Definition

Self-Employment Assistance is a program administered by DEWR that helps eligible people start and run viable small businesses.

Participants in Self-Employment Assistance who access the Small Business Coaching element of the program may be eligible to receive payments from DEWR. Payments made under Self-Employment Assistance are excluded from the ordinary income test under SSAct section 8(8)(t) and subject to the Self-employment program provisions under SSAct Part 3.15.
