11.1.1.50 Trigger payments for income management

Trigger payments

Under the VWPR and VIM measures of income management, a person must be receiving a category H payment to be assessed as eligible for income management. Under the Child Protection measure and the SPAR measure, a person or their partner must be receiving a category H payment to be assessed as eligible for income management.

Under the Disengaged Youth and LWPR measures, a person must be receiving a category E payment to be assessed as eligible for income management.

Category E payments

Below is a list of category E payments under the SSAct:

  • youth allowance
  • jobseeker payment
  • special benefit
  • parenting payment (single), and
  • parenting payment (partnered).

Category H payments

Below is a list of category H payments under the SSAct:

  • social security benefit
    • youth allowance
    • austudy payment
    • jobseeker payment
    • special benefit
    • parenting payment (partnered)
  • social security pension
    • age pension
    • disability support pension
    • carer payment
    • parenting payment (single)
    • special needs pension
  • a payment under the ABSTUDY scheme that includes an amount as identified as living allowance
  • service pension
    • age service pension under Part III of the VEA
    • invalidity service pension under Part III of the VEA
    • partner service pension under Part III of the VEA
    • carer service pension under Part III of the VEA
  • income support supplement.
