1.1.V.67 Voluntary unemployment

Definition

Voluntary unemployment refers to a situation where a recipient has left any suitable employment (including part-time work) voluntarily.

Regardless of whether a person is claiming or currently in receipt of JSP, YA, PP or SpB, if the job seeker's resignation was not reasonable, they can be subject to payment cancellation and a 4-week non-payment period under the targeted compliance framework, or an unemployment non-payment period for CDP participants.
