4.3.8.50 Paying instalment of PLP outside instalment period

Introduction

The situation may arise where Centrelink or the employer is required to pay an instalment of PLP on a payday for a later instalment period but there is no later instalment period. An example might be where Centrelink is required to pay arrears to a person but the person does not have a subsequent instalment period.

In this situation Centrelink or the employer must pay the instalment on the payday that would have been the payday for the later instalment period if it were payable.

Act reference: PPLAct section 95 Paying instalment on payday for later instalment-no later instalment
