6.4 Changing, terminating or suspending a child support agreement

Context

This chapter deals with the policy related to varying and terminating child support (1.1.C.60) agreements after they have been accepted.

From 1 July 2018, a child support agreement may be suspended if there is a change in care (1.1.C.10) arrangements that results in the carer entitled to child support under the agreement ceasing to be an eligible carer (1.1.E.10) of the relevant child. The suspending of child support agreements is also explained in this chapter.
