1.1.P.90 Portability

For the purposes of FA, portability refers to an individual's continuing entitlement (1.1.E.30) to an Australian FA payment (1.1.F.02) and/or social security payment (1.1.S.80) while absent from Australia (1.1.A.10). Once portability of entitlement is established, payments may continue in Australia (1.1.A.120) or be directed overseas, depending on the type of payment and/or the duration of the absence.
