5.1.5 Withdrawal or variation of a claim for DAPP

Introduction

A claimant who has made an effective claim (5.1.2) for DAPP may withdraw or vary the claim, in a manner approved by Centrelink, before a payability determination (6.3.2.20) is made on the claim. If a claim is withdrawn, it is taken never to have been made.

Before a payability determination is made on the claim for DAPP, the claimant may change his or her nominated start date (5.1.3) by notifying Centrelink of the new nominated start date.

If a payability determination is made that DAPP is payable to the claimant, the claimant may only change his or her nominated start date by notifying Centrelink before the old date, of the new nominated start date.
