This definition applies to all payments.

Definition

This term is defined in the Aged Care Act 1997. A daily accommodation payment is an amount a person may be asked to pay to an approved provider to meet their accommodation costs.

A daily accommodation contribution is an amount a person may be asked to pay towards their accommodation costs.

Daily accommodation payments and daily accommodation contributions accrue daily and are paid by periodic payment.
