1.1.H.30 Health care card only CA (HCC only CA (child))

Definition

For the purposes of CA (child) (1.1.C.90), health care card only CA (HCC only CA (child)) refers to a level of entitlement where the child's carer does not achieve a qualifying rating under the DCLA (1.1.D.170) but where the child requires substantially more care and attention (1.1.S.390) than a child of the same age without a disability. This requirement is generally satisfied when the child has additional care needs of at least 14 hours per week (1.1.F.170) and the CA income test requirements are met.

This level of entitlement comprises a HCC in the child's name.
