1.1.R.40 Reasonable means of support (SpB)

Definition

For the purposes of SpB, 'reasonable means of support' means having means of support which is AT LEAST EQUAL TO the rate of SpB which would apply to the person.

Example: The means of support may be in the form of:

  • accommodation
  • payment of bills
  • maintenance payments from a partner, or
  • provision of food or clothing.
