1.1.M.20 Major disaster (AGDRP)
Definition
For the purposes of AGDRP, the term major disaster will be determined by the Minister for Emergency Management if the event has such a significant impact on individuals that an Australian Government response is required. When arriving at such a decision the following factors will be taken into consideration:
- the number of individuals affected, and
- the extent to which the nature or extent of the disaster is unusual.
