4.2.4.50 Claim action 5 - already entitled to FTB instalments

Is a letter required?

No.

What to do

Centrelink must advise the individual (1.1.A.72):

  • that the claim is not effective (1.1.E.10) because they are already entitled to receive FTB by fortnightly payments, and
  • they do not need to lodge another claim to trigger a reassessment of their instalment (1.1.I.100) entitlement.

Make whatever changes may be required to the existing assessment of their current entitlement.

Record-keeping

An electronic or paper file record of this advice should be kept.
