1.1.P.45 Parental means test (YA)

Definition

For the purposes of YA, the parental means test is a means test, which applies to all dependent YA recipients. It calculates the recipient’s payment reduction due to parental income (4.2.8.05) in excess of the parental income free area (4.2.8.10). It comprises a parental income test (1.1.P.40) and, where applicable, a maintenance income test (4.2.8.20).
