1.1.P.45 Parental means test (YA)

Definition

For the purposes of YA, the parental means test is a means test, which applies to all dependent YA recipients. It calculates the recipientā€™s payment reduction due to parental income (4.2.8.05) in excess of the parental income free area (4.2.8.10). It comprises a parental income test (1.1.P.40) and, where applicable, a maintenance income test (4.2.8.20).
