1.1.C.60 Carer visa holder (CP)

Definition

For the purposes of CP, a carer visa holder has the same meaning as in the Migration Regulations 1994 administered by Department of Home Affairs.

A carer visa holder is granted permanent residence (1.1.R.200) on the basis of needing to provide personal care to a family member who is an Australian resident, who has a disability or severe medical condition but has no other carer (1.1.C.40) to provide the required care.
